Saturday May 27

Blues lovers rejoice! We have 8+ hours of great music for your listening and dancing pleasure. After opening ceremonies, we welcome hometown favorite Brandon Perrault and his friends to get us warmed up for the day. Our first guest performer is Denver’s Johnny Long. He brings the throwback sounds of a prewar country blues player that call to mind the 20’s & early 30’s Blues 78 rpms. Next up is Miller & the Other Sinners. Hailing from Buffalo, NY, Miller and The Other Sinners brings a blend of roots music, southern soul, blues, rock and r&b, that will move you. Led by David Miller and a changing supporting cast, this group has built a Silver City following through the weekend long engagement at the Little Toad last year. We are excited to welcome them to the main stage for a set before they return to the Toad for even more performances throughout the weekend.

Silver City welcomes L.A.’s best Latin blues band, the Delgado Brothers for spicy set of great music. The Delgado Brothers recently took 1st Place at the 2016 International Blues Challenge and The Albert King Best Guitarist award. Beloved for their live shows and renowned for their signature LA sound, the Delgado Brothers are a fusion of soaring guitar virtuosity, melodious harmonies, and rock solid musicianship.

For the Saturday night finale, the west coast and West Africa meets in Silver City for a special performance by the Bay Area’s Markus James and a trio of West African musicians known collectively as the Wassonrai. The result is a combination of driving North Mississippi-style riffs with traditional West African rhythms and dynamics. Markus James has been featured on NPR radio, BBC Radio and countless Blues music programs across the U.S. Markus can hold his own playing guitar too. He was recently asked to join guitar legend, Joe Satriani to join him this fall for a 16 city European tour. This is sure to be a memorable performance that you don’t want to miss!
